Mathilde Jobin is a Montreal based artist whose art practice is centered around nostalgia, daily life, pop-culture, and the internet. Her hand-building technique, along with her organic approach, allows her to create asymmetric and imperfect shapes. The material’s tactility permits the artist to deepen her concepts the moment they are translated into life, transforming with the touch of her hands. Hand-building can take place over a few days, allowing the artist to step back, reflect and see her projects evolve simultaneously as they’re being defined.
